Hello everyone. After some time without offering “The Journey” service, we have decided to bring it back.

As you may know, the waiting list is long, and students don’t often leave their seats. Therefore, keep in mind that these slots are very exclusive and provide access to highly efficient learning but with limited availability.

Initially, the slots are limited to 8.

Once the slots are filled, a waiting list will be filled up with all the people interested, and spaces will be offered as soon as any student leave the group or if the capacity is expanded.

What do we offer?

1. Monthly video correction: In this video correction, the instructor explains and corrects everything necessary based on the planned objectives for each student. The duration of the videos varies depending on the content; some may be 50 minutes long, while others may be 15 minutes. The servicie is for correction, NOT billed per minute.

Alfonso will explain, analyze, or provide examples and references to help students understand issues and find solutions. The necessary explanations will be adapted to the student’s level and the project they are working on.
In this video correction, one exercise is corrected. In the case of simple and small figures, two can be corrected (for example, 2 figures of 35mm). We ask you for common sense. Obviously, correcting a diorama with 10 figures is not the same as correcting a 28mm figure or a bust, so the correction adapts to the projects the students want to develop.
There will be NO corrections for two months each year. The reason is simple: holidays exist for everyone, including Alfonso. The other month without corrections usually corresponds to a month of classes that Alfonso typically teaches annually in the USA.
These two correction-free months will be compensated with a refund of 100 euros in each of these months). The rest of the money covers the slot, access to the academy and chat, and corresponding benefits.

2. In addition to monthly corrections, Alfonso offers an online meeting open to “The Journey” students once every 3 months to address questions, showcase your paintings for mixing or strokes, or for whatever you need. The idea is to have a common space where Alfonso can talk to you in person, and everyone can participate. It’s a space to resolve doubts or problems that may arise during your learning. This meeting will be scheduled in advance, and Alfonso will be available for 4 hours (two in the morning and two in the afternoon so everyone can jump no matter where you are from). You can enter whenever you want as many times you want and stay as long as you want.

3. Access to a private WhatsApp group where you can learn with your peers. There, you will have access to Alfonso throughout the year, whether there is a correction or not.

4. Access to ALL video corrections of your fellow students. The idea is for you not only to learn from your own work but also to learn from the progress and evolution of other students, regardless of their level or the type of project they undertake.

5. A 30% discount will be offered on all physical products from miniatureartacademy (figures like anonymous, ogres, including limited edition figures, as long as they are purchased outside of weekend courses).

6. Unlimited access to all online content of the Academy.

What does the student provide?

1. Photo of the miniature: The photo MUST be clear, with a neutral background (a gray cardboard background is recommended). It is recommended not to use black or white backgrounds. Using a DSLR camera is recommended because it respects the reality of the figure more. Mobile phone cameras come with built-in beauty mode and tend to blend gradients that should not be blended for proper correction.

It is recommended to use two zenithal lights, one on each side, to illuminate the piece (photo attached).

2. Description of the project and objectives: The idea is for the student to be able to verbalize what they want and what they are aiming for. Learning a discipline is not just about executing things well but being able to analyze what is pursued and propose ideas. Alfonso will also correct and propose ideas or adjustments to achieve those ideas with the best possible results. It is an essential part of learning.

3. The date of delivery of the images will be from the 15th day of each day until the last day of each month. After this day, we will not accept images. In case it takes longer to receive the projects, they will be corrected during the next correction period. In the event that this happens, it also depends on the availability of Alfonso that he can correct two pieces, the following month as an exception.
